Targeted traffic is used on the internet to bring more people to your Web site. It has been used by many to increase Web site traffic quickly and exponentially in some cases. Targeted traffic can be attained through many measures, some of which include paying a service fee to Web sites that will do it all for you. If you would like to skip that fee, however, you can do it from home as long as you are willing to put up the time to do so through several methods.
Method 1) Article Marketing: Article Marketing is the process of writing short articles about your Web site or product. These usually include a bio box, a byline and contact information and can greatly increase credibility and traffic to your Web site.
Method 2) Search Engine Optimization: Through optimization for search engines you will find that your Web site pops up more frequently in Web searches. This can be attained by writing highly detailed descriptions about your Web site, product and/or service and most of all, your target audience. By having these highly detailed descriptions on your page you will gain a great amount of extra traffic due to the higher likelihood that any given person’s related search would have something in common with your description, making it appear higher on the list of a search engine’s related finds.
Method 3) Blog Comments: Blog comments, while useful, can be highly controversial. If you decide to comment on someone’s blog about your Web site, you must do so very subtly. If you blatantly advertise your post will get deleted and you will more than likely be banned. For this reason it would be better to start a blog related to your Web site that could potentially draw more attention to your site through interesting topics about your site. If the blog is about your Web site you can throw subtlety out the window.
Method 4) Forum Posting: This tactic is highly controversial and for the most part shunned. Unless the forum is your own, blatantly advertising on someone’s forum board can cause serious anger and can get you banned. For this reason, approach forum posting like blog comments, but with even more caution. If you are too blunt about trying to bring people to your site you could potentially lose traffic. If, however, you are subtle and bring your site up casually and not as if it were your own, you can increase traffic through curiosity and interest.
Through proper use of some or all of these methods, targeted traffic techniques can and will greatly increase the traffic to your Web site. Find out the Secret Tips on How to Get More Traffic.

As usual targetted traffic is much more important than just any traffic because it affects your conversion rate. Targetted traffic are ‘warm’ leads because they have an interest in your niche and therefore they are much more valuable than untargetted traffic.
