2 Ways to Publish and Display an RSS Blog Feed on Static Websites for Free

Many times webmasters are using blogs as their content management system in order to easily publish, create and manage massive amounts of written contents to help their static websites. Essentially a software is usually used to build the static site and then a Wordpress blog is attached to the domain, such as domain.com/blog. When this is done, the two entities appear differently in browsers and it is not so easy to integrate and show the content of the blog posts on the static site.

Using Feedburner

If you use Feedburner you can republish your feed by using the BuzzBoost feature in the Feedburner account. They will provide you with a simple snippet of code and you add it to your static site files and it will appear on the static site, as you configure it in Feedburner, you can show as many recent posts as you wish as well as other options, like summaries and such.

If you are not using Feedburner to burn your feed, there is another free way to publish your posts on static websites with a free cool widget.

Feed Informer Widget

Feed Informer is a free service that allows you to easily create, design and configure cool widgets that will display your blog posts on static sites.

They offer a variety of coding formats, including, Java, flash, legacy and several others and the widgets are neat, and fully customizable. The design element is really neat for the widgets to display the feed posts, as Feed Informer offers a variety of styles and options.

So, there you have two options and free tools ot publish and display an RSS or blog feed on static websites, enjoy!

    Great post. Even though there is no need to use static pages anymore. With joomla and wordpress, creating a website is some much more advanced now-a-days. And having an RSS feed is important to stay connected with your visitors/readers. It is also a great benefit to have from an seo perspective as well.

    I agree, Wordpress and the others are great, though many still have static sites and often ask about this issue in the forums, so I figured out get the word out.
